Each year "A Hamptons Happening" is among the most eagerly anticipated events of the Hamptons social calendar. The 13th Annual "Happening" was held under a stunning open tent on the breathtaking 15-acre Bridgehampton property of Maria and Kenneth Fishel.

As guests entered the tent they were greeted by a stilt walker and her juggling partner and a circus themed evening. This milestone celebration was a scrumptious gala of the most celebrated restaurants in New York City and the Hamptons. Guests indulged their appetites for the savory and the sweet, mixed and mingled, and placed their bids on exciting auction items, all while collaborating to fund science's quest for a cure for cancer.

Among the evening's entertainment were one of the greatest male vocalists and songwriters of his generation, Rufus Wainwright and rhythmic pop singer, songwriter, Sophie Beem. Guests delighted in their performances and were even given an opportunity to bid on a live auction for lessons from Mr. Wainwright himself!

This year's event marked the 41st anniversary of the founding of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. The honorees for the evening were First Wall Street Capital Chairman & CEO ~ Glenn Myles, Magnolia Bakery's Chief Baking Officer ~ Bobbie Lloyd, Talent Manager, Hollywood Film Agent, Producer & Author ~ Shep Gordon, Gabriel Kreuther Restaurant's Owner & Executive Chef ~ Gabriel Kreuther and President and CEO of Fashion Group International ~ Margaret Hayes.
