Wine
lovers had reason to rejoice at the Taste of Flight Wine Expo. This paronomastically named
two-day event took place at the Cradle of Aviation, allowing attendees to indulge in the
sights of this magnificent museum while sampling some of the world's most amazing wines,
including offerings from many local Long Island vineyards and wineries.
Attendees
were given a delightfully quaint wine glass emblemized with the expo's moniker and perfectly
sized for tastings. The options were plentiful at this impressive event, with hundreds of wines from around the globe
being offered at a Taste of Flight, all without ever having to leave the ground! There
were also a live band and numerous samplings of chocolates, cheeses, breads, gourmet
specialties and much more from local merchants.
This
inaugural event was a soaring success, but if you missed it, do not fret! The second event
is already scheduled for April 11 & 12, 2014. For more details about the upcoming
