Long Island Food Critic

The East Northport Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of East Northport and the Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk have cooked up something new for their 13th annual "A Taste of Long Island," which was held at the Larkfield Manor in East Northport and featured special guests: Hell's Kitchen Contestant, Barret Beyer and Chopped & Cutthroat Kitchen Contestant, Rob Burmeister.

Following in last year's new tradition, the three hosting organizations had restaurants receive recognition for their unique creative talents. Awards were given for 'most creative dish,' 'the best table presentation,' 'the tastiest dish,' and 'the people's choice award'.

Guests enjoyed the diverse delights of thirty different eateries, restaurants and bakeries. Attendees also sampled offerings from Long Island's finest vineyards, microbreweries and purveyors of fine spirits making this the ideal event for mingling
as well as munching.

This exclusive culinary showcase regularly attracts over 400 attendees every year! This years proceeds went to benefit Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk, Inc.
