Long Island Food Critic

The 13th Annual Evening of Tasting and Giving showcased local restaurants, bakeries and wineries at The Carltun at Eisenhower Park. The proceeds of this event went to the Michael Magro Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Terrie and Paul Magro in 2005 after the passing of their son, Michael, from childhood leukemia.

Guests were invited to indulge on the exquisite cuisine and drinks offered. The vendors, who have appeared yearly for this event, once again brought various delectable dishes for their esteemed guests to sample.

With about 30 different restaurants, bakeries and wineries serving their finest, it was truly a night to remember. Local restaurants included Spuntino, Carlo's Bakery, Park Place Restaurant, Piccola Bussola, Beginnings, La Parma II, and Sweet Karma. The food and drinks were delectable and as always, The Carltun served as a beautifully perfect venue.

When it came time for dessert, guest delighted in coffee, ice cream, cakes, cookies and other pastries served by local bakeries and dessert shops. As always, this was truly a night to remember, raising money for the Michael Magro Foundation and honoring thirteen years of inspiration and strength.
