The
5th Annual North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ
& Wine Festival was held on Saturday, August 13th
at the beautiful Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead. Described as the most talked about
and anticipated event of the summer, the event definitely lived up to its reputation.
Along
with their ticket purchase, attendees were given a 6oz. souvenir tasting glass, allowing
them to enjoy 2oz. samples from all participating breweries and wineries. More than 50
world-class brewers were in attendance this year, including a wide variety of nationally
recognized craft breweries and a number of Long Island’s very own craft brewers. Wine
sampling was also available as samples from Martha Clara Vineyards and a selection of
other Long Island Wineries were offered. Delicious, gourmet BBQ food was prepared by Maple
Tree BBQ and musical entertainment was provided by one of Long Island’s hottest cover
bands, Mystery Play.

The
weather was absolutely ideal for this exciting beer fest in wine country and it was clear
a good time was had by all in attendance – and all for a good cause. Proceeds from this
event went towards raising funds for the National Beer for Brains Foundation as well as
two local charities, The Kent Animal Shelter and The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund.
