The 2nd Annual Golden Tap Awards Gala was held at the Boulton Center For The Performing Arts on Tuesday, May 15th. This gala was one of the premiere events of Long Island's Craft Beer Week (May 11th - May 20th, 2012) and a number of awards were given out in various "people's choice" categories. Tim Saliani was the comedic master of ceremonies this evening and the fabulous event was sponsored by Long Island Beer and Malt Enthusiasts and produced by Starfish Junction Productions. 

Before the ceremony began, guests were treated to some delicious craft beers provided by some of the nominees, as well as light fare generously provided by Bayshore eatery, Milk & Sugar.

For the second year in a row, to no surprise, Blue Point Brewing Company took home top honors including "Best New York State Brewery" and "2011 Beer Of The Year" for their Toasted Lager. Also honored at the event were Steve Hindy, Brooklyn Brewery President, and Mike Deinhardt, Brewers East End Revival (B.E.E.R.) Founder. Below you'll find a list of all the winners this evening.
