The
American Foundation For Suicide Prevention held their 4th Annual fundraiser on
Monday, May 3, 2010 at The Carltun in East Meadow. Restaurants from all over Long
Island once again came together to support this fine charity. The
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is the leading national non-for-profit
organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through
research, education, advocacy, as well as reaching out to people with mental disorders and
those affected by suicide.
This
evening was full of fine food, delectable desserts, winning wines, and much more. There
was a silent auction of over 40 items and a special live auction with over 60 packages for
people to bid on. The evening culminated with VIP level supporters partaking in a
chocolate lovers “Everything Chocolate" after-party in the courtyard.
Below
are a few of the many Long Island restaurants, bakeries, and wineries that participated in
this year’s In Good Taste to benefit The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.
