The
8th Annual Long Island Fight For Charity was held at the Hilton Long Island in Melville, New
York on Monday, November 22, 2010. The brave competitors who sign on to participate in
this charitable event go through rigorous and intense training for roughly a year in order
to be eligible to compete for a great cause. All proceeds raised at this event were
donated to the Long Island Community Chest, a nonprofit organization in Melville that
offers short-term financial aid to families in need.
Upon
entering the event there was a large display of items for guests to bid on. Amongst those
items were an autographed New York Yankees jersey from second baseman, Robinson Cano and
an autographed Harry Potter poster.

Before
the boxing began, guests were treated to an array of food from participating vendors. Once
the participating boxers were ready and everyone found their seats, the excitement was
unleashed as participants fought their way to victory.
In
the end everyone was deemed a winner, as they very well deserved to be. This event was yet
again a great success and a good time was had by all in attendance.
