The
7th Annual Taste & Toast of the Town was held on Wednesday, September 15,
2010 at the extravagant Chateau Briand in Carle Place. All proceeds from this generous
event were donated to The United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.
The
beautiful, breezy fall weather allowed this event to be held outdoors as well as indoors.
The participating restaurants were set up in the tropically themed outdoor garden. The
garden was elegantly decorated with palm trees, fire pits and featured the sounds of Andre
Phillips Caribbean Band, which added to the already pleasing ambiance of the event.
Indoors in the Europa Dining Room Jazzy Ralph, a talented piano soloist, performed for all
to enjoy as they sampled an array of desserts from contributing businesses.
Restaurants
competed in a competition where they brought their best dishes to the table to be judged
and critiqued. A People’s Choice Awards ceremony was also held.
Generous
participants included Page One, Seventh Street Café, 21 Main, Rare 650, Blackstone
Steakhouse, Mio Posto and much more.
