St. Luke's Lutheran Church was the host to the Taste of the Town on Thursday, September 26, 2013. This event benefited the YES Community Counseling Center, a worthy organization with an extensive history in southeastern Nassau.

Many local restaurants and specialty food and beverage establishments took part in this event, offering tastings of their delectable dishes while helping spread word and raise funds for the charity.

YES Community Counseling Center is a community-based, non-profit organization that has been serving the residents of southeastern Nassau County since 1977.

YES offers many programs and services thanks to the extensive involvement of their dedicated staff of Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Substance Abuse Counselors, and Medical Professionals.

Historically rooted in youth programs, they provide a wide scope of services, including school-based social work, counseling, drug/alcohol treatment, and a wide variety of other services.
