The
5th Annual Taste of Smithtown was held at Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown on
Thursday, October 21, 2010. This spectacular event was sponsored by Senior Resources of
Long Island. This association provides professional services for senior citizens in need,
as well as their families.
A
number of local restaurants and caterers came together and charitably donated their
delectable food to help raise money for the following well deserving charities: The
Smithtown Rotary’s Gift of Life Program, Meals on Wheels and Angela’s House.
Generous
local residents in attendance were treated to an array of delicious food and beverages,
the delightful tunes of a talented pianist and lots of gift baskets that were raffled off
in a 50/50 raffle drawing. “One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event go to the
charities that we have selected”, said Howard Essenfeld, a member of Senior Resources of
Long Island.
